Llangynidr Farmers' and Producers' Market 2008 The first market was held on 30th December 2007. 13 producers attended & more were interested but unable to attend at such short notice
The aims of the market are to support the community of Llangynidr:

Llangynidr heralds in 2008 with a new monthly Farmers’ and Producers’ market on the last Sunday of every month in the Llangynidr Village Hall.

| From 11am until 2pm you will be able to buy local meats, vegetables, free range eggs, apple juice, cakes, bread and honey as well as cards, paintings prints and other crafts made locally. Each month there will be different activities to interest and inspire people of all ages, as well as refreshments |

This self sustaining enterprise offers a model for other communities to create more local choices and a shopping experience with a difference. Offering fresh local produce the market aims to support local producers, encourage innovative enterprises whilst celebrating the diversity and richness of the area and those who live and work in it. Hopefully this venture will encourage local shopping to reduce distances travelled by food and at the same time offer a forum for ideas and social exchange.
