The Llangynidr Branch of the WEA was founded in 1978 by a group of villagers seeking to broaden their horizons. The branch normally has courses for two terms, the autumn often being of intellectual nature, with a lighter and more varied form in the spring. Day school and study trips are normally reserved for the summer month

The classes are held on Wednesday evenings in the local primary school at 7:30pm . Art classes are held in Llangynidr Village Hall on Friday mornings at 10:00am |
